Bob Pollard's Winter 2006 tour dates should be announced by the end of the week. I'll post 'em as soon as I can.
Also, Adrian Tomine has been back at work on Optic Nerve, somewhat shockingly. I picked up issue #9 recently and it looks like #10 is already out. They're part of a devastating three-part story about self-absorbed men, broken relationships, and foolhardy, potentially doomed crushes. Pretty much business as usual, but he does it so well.
Also, if you haven't heard, Strangers In Paradise will be wrapping up in about a year and a half. Very sad, since there were so many interesting characters and storylines to be explored (as well as a number of rather obvious plot holes and gaps which will never be filled). At least it's a conscious choice on the part of the creator, unlike Angel, Arrested Development, Twin Peaks, the original "Smile," Mozart's requiem, and any number of other "unfinished" works I've obsessed over. Grrrrr.
